Abel is a Dutch band, from the city of Breda. They started in 1996 as a cover band called The Acting Crowd. Some of the members already knew each other from highschool. After a lot of changes in the band, it now has 5 members: Joris Rasenberg (vocals), Tim Eijmaal (guitar), Bas de Groot (bass), Eric Smans (keyboards) and Jasper van Hulten (drums). In 2000, their song Onderweg reached #1 in the Dutch charts, and stayed there for weeks.
